Dr. Huikeshoven

After completing his doctoral research at the University of Amsterdam in 2002 and graduating cum laude as a physician from the same university in 2004, Menno Huikeshoven completed his specialisation in plastic, reconstructive and hand surgery from 2005 to 2010 at AMC Amsterdam, Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Hospital / Netherlands Cancer Institute Amsterdam and Rode Kruis Ziekenhuis Beverwijk. During this training he became a Fellow of the European Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (EBOPRAS) by passing the required European examinations in 2009. He then moved with his family to Vancouver, Canada, where he completed two fellowships, further specialising in facial surgery among other areas.

After successfully completing these fellowships, he was invited to remain in Vancouver and worked there from 2011 to 2013 as a staff plastic surgeon at Vancouver General Hospital.

In 2013 he returned to the Netherlands with his family and has since worked alongside his fellow plastic surgeons at Kliniek Blooming at Spaarne Gasthuis in Haarlem and Rode Kruis Ziekenhuis in Beverwijk. He lives with his family in Haarlem.
