'What is Botox and what is it used for?'
Botox for Wrinkles
The substance Botulinum toxin type A, better known as Botox, can be injected into the muscles that cause wrinkles. This substance blocks the connection between the muscles and the nerves. Not every muscle is suitable for a Botox injection. For example, around the mouth is a good place for a Botox injection. This would cause the motor function around the mouth to be lost, creating problems.
The most common location for Botox is between the eyebrows, for treating the so-called frown line. In addition, Botox is often used to treat the crow's feet beside the eyes and on the forehead.
