As of 1 January 2026, two of our valued plastic surgeons, drs. Wouter van der Pot and drs. Kalam Ahmed, will be leaving Blooming to start a new medical project in Almere.
We wish them every success with this next step and are grateful to them for all the years of dedication and care that have contributed to where Blooming stands today. In the meantime, at Blooming we continue to develop our clinic, which has now become one of the leading aesthetic plastic surgery practices in the Netherlands. Our core values remain paramount: the highest quality of care in a safe and personal environment. Our team of experienced plastic surgeons and support staff remains committed to your treatment and aftercare. If you are already a client of Dr Van der Pot or Dr Ahmed and wish to continue your treatment within Blooming, our team is happy to advise you on which surgeon best matches your wishes. If you would prefer to transfer to the new clinic of Dr Van der Pot and Dr Ahmed, that is of course also possible. If you are currently on the waiting list for Dr Van der Pot or Dr Ahmed and wish to remain with these surgeons, there is nothing you need to do. The new clinic in Almere will contact you as soon as possible. You can count on us for a careful transfer of your file and continuity of care. In both cases, we will ensure a smooth transition.
Our current plastic surgeons (Menno Huikeshoven, Gilean Nolst Trenité, Robert de Wijn and Klaske Booij) form a strong team, each with their own specialisations and many years of experience in both aesthetic and insured care at the Spaarne Gasthuis and the Rode Kruis Ziekenhuis. This includes breast surgery, both aesthetic and reconstructive (after breast cancer), lipofilling, body contouring (body corrections, including after significant weight loss), facial surgery (such as facelifts, upper and lower eyelid corrections, brow and forehead lifts, rhinoplasty), and more. They will be joined by, among others, Dr Tiara Lopez Penha, who has extensive experience and expertise in breast surgery, both aesthetic and reconstructive (after breast cancer). She works at the Rode Kruis Ziekenhuis in Beverwijk, where in addition to breast surgery, body corrections (including after significant weight loss) are also among her areas of focus. With cosmetic physician Myrte Visser, our team of specialists is complete. In addition to the expertise of our plastic surgeons, she brings many years of experience in botox, fillers, and skin-rejuvenating treatments. Her focus on safe techniques and natural results means that clients at Blooming can count on a comprehensive and multidisciplinary range of treatments.
