Botox is far more than just a wrinkle treatment. At Blooming Plastische Chirurgie, our specialists use Botox to address a wide range of concerns, from smoothing expression lines and lifting brows to treating excessive sweating and jaw tension. This versatile injectable works by temporarily relaxing specific muscles, creating natural-looking, refreshed results. Whether you're looking to soften forehead lines, reduce crow's feet, or explore Botox for a non-surgical brow lift, our experienced team will tailor the treatment to your unique anatomy and aesthetic goals.
Do you often find yourself in bed with migraines, do you grind your teeth in your sleep, or do you suffer from excessive sweating? Then consider undergoing a Botox treatment. You are undoubtedly familiar with Botox as a remedy for, for example, crow's feet and frown lines. What many people do not know, however, is that Botox can also be used for medical complaints. We will tell you which complaints can be addressed by means of a Botox treatment.
Botox
Botox is primarily used in the area around the eyes, the forehead and the frown line. After a Botox treatment, the fine lines that appear when you smile, look cross or frown fade away. Botulinum toxin (the active ingredient in Botox) inhibits the contraction of the muscle. This causes the muscles in question to relax and the fine lines to diminish.
Botox for Teeth Grinding
With teeth grinding, the teeth and molars forcefully slide against each other, or the jaw is clenched tightly. Do you suffer from teeth grinding and would you rather not wear a mouth guard? Botox may offer a solution. During the Botox treatment, botulinum toxin is injected into the jaw muscles, reducing muscle tension in the chewing muscles. This will reduce your symptoms or even make them disappear entirely. For an optimal result, we recommend repeating the treatment at least once.
Botox for Migraines
Everyone experiences headaches from time to time, but for some the pain is far more severe than for others. In some cases, the headache is caused by the muscles in the head tensing up, creating a strong feeling of pressure in the head. This is also known as a migraine or tension headache. Thanks to the muscle-relaxing properties of Botox, the muscle tension that causes migraines is reduced, causing the severe headache to disappear.
Botox for Excessive Sweating
In everyday life, many people suffer from excessive sweating. This can sometimes be so severe that it has an impact on their social life. A Botox treatment can offer a solution. Botulinum toxin is effective against sweating under the armpits, on the feet, the hands and the forehead. Just as with a wrinkle treatment using Botox, botulinum toxin blocks the transmission of signals. With a wrinkle treatment, the facial muscle is temporarily paralysed, whereas with a treatment for excessive sweating the sweat signal is stopped. The effect of this treatment lasts approximately 6 to 12 months, after which the treatment must be repeated.
