Sometimes what seems like a purely cosmetic concern can have deeper physical or psychological implications. At Blooming, our plastic surgeons take a holistic approach and always look beyond the surface to understand what is truly going on for each patient. Whether it is functional issues related to eyelid drooping, nasal breathing problems linked to a deviated septum, or the emotional impact of a physical characteristic, our team is equipped to address both the aesthetic and the underlying concerns. We believe that the best outcomes come from truly listening to our patients.
Almost everyone has experienced a hand or wrist problem and realised how much they rely on it daily. The hand is 1% of the human body yet contains 8 carpal bones, 14 finger phalanges, 5 metacarpal bones, 12 flexor tendons, 21 joints, 19 hand muscles, 12 extensor tendons, 2 major nerves and 2 major arteries. Problems can include arthrosis, Dupuytren's contracture, carpal tunnel syndrome, traumatic injuries, tendon inflammations, ganglia, and rheumatic joint problems.
Multidisciplinary collaboration
Hand surgery requires a multidisciplinary approach involving neurologists, rheumatologists, and rehabilitation specialists, followed by occupational therapists and physiotherapists.
