It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the passing of our beloved colleague, plastic surgeon Dr. Paris Melis. Dr. Melis was a dedicated and highly skilled plastic surgeon who touched the lives of countless patients and colleagues over the course of his distinguished career. His warmth, expertise, and commitment to excellence left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed by the entire Blooming team and the broader plastic surgery community.
On Monday 28 November, we received the sad news that our colleague Dr Paris Melis, plastic surgeon, had lost his life in a car accident. Paris was greatly loved by his clients and colleagues. We are deeply shocked by this sudden loss.
Dr Paris Melis completed his plastic surgery training at the Academisch Medisch Centrum and the Rode Kruis Ziekenhuis in Beverwijk. In 2003, he joined the Maatschap Plastisch Chirurgen at the RKZ and together with fellow plastic surgeons, he worked with great energy to make Blooming clinic a success. With his many years of experience, an important doctoral thesis to his name and his passion for the profession, he was able to contribute enormously to his clients, colleagues and the medical world - nationally as chairman of the Dutch Association for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and as a highly valued member of the Dutch Association for Plastic Surgery. Paris was 52 years old. We will miss him terribly and wish his family, friends, colleagues and acquaintances much strength in processing this great loss.
