The concept of "perfect breasts" is highly personal and varies enormously from one person to the next. At Blooming, we do not believe in a single ideal — our goal is always to create a result that is in harmony with your individual body and reflects your personal vision of beauty. In this article, our plastic surgeons explore the idea of breast perfection from a surgical perspective: how proportions are assessed, how patient expectations are shaped, and how we work together with each patient to define what the best possible outcome looks like for them specifically.
Do perfect breasts exist? Surgeon has developed a magic formula for the perfect breasts.
The perfect breasts do exist. And there is even a mathematical formula for them. London surgeon Patrick Mallucci has spent the past five years determining the ideal proportions for creating the ultimate pair of breasts. His findings are not based solely on his personal opinion — there is genuine science behind them. To support his discovery, Mallucci recently published his study in the official medical journal of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. In a nutshell, nearly 1,500 people were shown photographs of various breast shapes, varying in age and nationality. There was broad agreement on what was considered the best appearance. Curious about the science behind the perfect breast? It is not one but four points that make a pair of breasts perfect.
1. The magic number
It all comes down to the ratio between the volume in the upper and lower portion of the breast. The perfect breast has 45% volume at the top and 55% at the bottom. Surprisingly, the study shows that a completely round breast, with equal volume at the top and bottom, is considered less attractive. Men in particular find fully round breasts less appealing. The notion that men like fake breasts is completely disproved by this, says Mallucci.2. A gently sloping line
A sunken chest is not ideal, but neither is an overly rounded upper portion of the breasts. Viewed from the side, the perfect breast has a straight or gently sloping line from the chest to the nipple.
3. Skyward-pointing nipples
The nipples should not point downwards or forwards. On the perfect breast, the nipple points slightly upwards. A common complication of a poorly performed breast augmentation is that the nipple sits too high. The ideal angle is around 20 degrees.4. A full, rounded underside
It is perhaps unsurprising that the contour from the nipple to the underside of the breast should have a beautifully full curve. The perfect proportions are not dependent on breast size. Beautiful breasts are beautiful breasts, regardless of size, explains Mallucci. Take Kate Moss, for example — her breasts are small but have the perfect proportions.Breast augmentations
