The best plastic surgeons in the Netherlands work at the Red Cross Hospital in Beverwijk. This is the conclusion of the annual survey by the weekly magazine Elsevier. Elsevier bases the assessment on interviews with experts in healthcare. In 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009, the plastic surgeons from the RKZ proved to deliver the best results. They are referred to as: the national winners.
The assessment was carried out by GPs, specialists, nurses, managers, and administrators in healthcare. They assessed the specialisms on medical expertise, understanding of the patient, innovation in the field, collaboration with the GP, and the prevention of unnecessary medical procedures. The researchers chose a format in which experts awarded a compliment to the best practices.
After tallying these accolades, it was again found that the most had been awarded to the plastic surgeons of the RKZ. These plastic surgeons established the Blooming clinic for cosmetic surgery and are also in 2021 the very best in their field.
